INTOURIST USA has created an itinerary for individual travelers to explore the world's oldest and deepest lake and its surrounding areas, as well as Irkutsk, the "Pearl of Siberia".

Day 1: Arrival to Irkutsk. Transfer to the hotel “Baikal”. Check-in and accommodation. The rest of the day at leasure.
Day 2: After breakfast the city tour. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 3: Breakfast at hotel. Check-out. Transfer to lake Bailkal. Tour to the Baikal Lake shore. Check-in and accommodation in hotel “Listvyanka”.

The Trans-Siberian Train runs entirely in Russia. However, it has a couple of international junction stations. From Irkutsk there is a daily train connection via Ulan Ude to Ulaan Baatar in Mongolia. Also the Moscow-Beijing train runs along the Siberian tracks all the way to Chita, where it branches to Harbin and Beijing in China.
